Do I starve myself, do I stuff myself, or do I try to enjoy a varied diet? These are the three questions that have robbed many people from successful weight loss and, in some cases, have even resulted in a trip to the hospital. But the questions do have merit: what leads to permanent weight loss?
Starving yourself may work quite well at first. In fact, the weight may literally just fall off. However, your body will eventually realize what’s happening and that’s when the damage is done. Your body will enter its “starvation” mindset and cling to every calorie that it can in order to survive.
This means that you will eventually bloat, and that defeats the entire point now doesn’t it? This is why you always see pictures of starving people with their stomachs sticking out. Starving yourself is also a great way to keep yourself from getting the nutrients that are essential for trivial things, such as living. All in all, starving yourself is a pretty stupid option and only a stupid person would willingly do it.
Stuffing yourself full of food will almost certainly result in instant and generous weight gain. In fact, you may quickly climb further into the obese category as you overload your body with calories. Then again, you probably already know this considering the fact that stuffing your face full of food makes absolutely zero sense when you are trying to lose weight.
If losing weight is all about careful diet management and physical exercise, stuffing yourself must fall into some kind of grey area right? Well, unfortunately, it does not. You need to eat to live, yes, but going to town on that bag of Doritos is a surefire way to get rid of that six pack and replace it with a keg. Now, if we were at a house party you’d be a hero, but in this situation I highly doubt that anyone will be giving you any kind of praise.
Do yourself a favor and put the chocolate bar down. You don’t need the calories that badly.
Enjoying a varied diet that is rich in natural sugars and proteins as well as carbohydrates and essential fatty acids is the key to it all, my friend. Keep eating your fruits and veggies, as well as snacking on the occasional chocolate bar for good measure.
At the end of the day losing weight comes down to proper nutrition, exercise, and the desire to do so. Taking a weight loss supplement, such as Phentramin, is also a great way to help promote weight loss. Phentramin works by curbing your appetite as well as giving you a bit more energy. This helps reduce your daily caloric intake along with helping you burn a few more calories every day.
And, as it turns out, burning more calories than you consume is the only way to lose weight.
