Ephedra Diet Pills

Ephedra has been in use for more than 4000 years in Chinese medicine to heal various conditions. It is widely used for it's ability to boost metabolism, burn fat and reduce appetite. However, the FDA at one point banned the use of Ephedra diet pills in the USA due to a few deaths caused by the products. The ban was later lifted because the cases of death were so few and far between.

Ephedra diet pills are based on the herb Ma Huang, and they contain extract of Ephedrine hydrochloride/ephedrine sulfate. They work by stimulating the central nervous system. Although the ban was lifted, that doesn't change the fact that a common side effect is increased heart rate.

Due to the iffy nature of ephedra diet pills, we do not recommend that you use them.
