My mom tried the slimfast
diet too, and I dunno... it didn't really work.
She was in the exact same situation as you were: Drinking a shake
and eating a brownie. There's something about he weird sweet taste
of those shakes that makes me want more, but I want things like
brownies and cookies... probably to make up for the bad taste.
I can't see how it would work for most people, as it just replaces
sweet stuff. Is there more to the diet than that? Also, you mention
drinking two meals a day as opposed to eating three. Does that mean
that SlimFast recommends having fewer meals total?
Anyway, my mom was most successful with the zone diet, but she
eventually gave up because it was too scientific.
