I never understood how my size could effect my children until my 11 year old daughter became anorexic. She had a deep fear of becoming "like her mother". She has chubby cheeks no matter how thin she is, and she saw herself looking like me and she couldn't stand it. If I had known it would have made me realize what I needed to do along time ago. She is 20 now and I just recently found out that this was an underlying cause of her illness. She has always been thin except for that one year when she was 11. I just keep thinking that if it wasn't for me, she wouldn't have been so sick for so long. I know I can't change it now, and she is now a healthy happy young woman, but there's always that little voice.
