I would think that 5-6 months is enough time to lose 55 pounds if you remain diligent. The challenge will be sticking with the plan when your weightloss stalls or plateaus. If you get discouraged and give up then you'll just gain the weight back.

I am weighing myself for the first time tomorrow. I am nervous!
