It sounds like you have a great plan!

I think that the South Beach Diet if done correctly is a great way to eat. It really does emphasize the healthy foods and the right balance.

Congrats on your loss to date! Also on making the decision to join a gym. Don't press yourself too hard at first. It's a big deal just to make the small steps required to work up to regular exercise.
