Hi there. I'm Colleen. 24 year old mother of 3. I attend Medical Assisting classes by night and currently weigh in around 282. When I started I weighed 288. I have lost almost 7 pounds on phentermine.
My goal is to be around 150, or a size 12 by graduation next year. My ultimate goal is to be around 135. I have never been that thin, but it's just a goal. It might help boost my modeling career... but then again.. it might not.
My body normally sits around 200. I was 197 from the age of 11 till I gave birth to my second child on May of 2002. While my sizes varied greatly during that time my weight maintained a constant. After having my second baby I was stuck at 215 and a happy size 12/14. Then came baby number 3 and 60 pounds that just WON'T come off. I've done South Beach. (gained 5 pounds), I've done 10,000 steps a day. I breastfed to increase the calories needed in a day, just so I could lose wieght. I went to the gym 4 days a week and walked on my days off. I did pilates, and turbo jam, and power 90. I have every exercise gadget known to man. Nothing worked.
So out of desperation I looked up phentermine. I looked it up a few times over the last 6 months or so. Then I came across this forum. I came back every day for 2 weeks to read what was going on here. Looking for sucess stories to give me hope that I could lose the weight. Finally one day, I ordered a 30 day supply. I got terribly ripped off paying almost 150 for a 30 supply... but I guess it could be worse. I didn't think they'd work. I know they didn't for my mom who used them in the 90's before she tried it as part of the fen-phen combo. Neither of them worked for her. (after Gastric bypass she lost 230 pounds.)
So now I'm here... 2 weeks almost from the day I started.... down 6 wonderful pounds and excited to lose more... Thankful every day for this forum... without it.. I would have looked at phentermine.. decided it was too expensive and given up.......
That's my intro...
