Here's some infor that might be helpful about taking an antidepressant with phen. First, DO NOT take an MAO -which is one type of antidepressant. That can be very dangerous. You can take an SSRI such as Celexa (I take this), lexapro, prozac etc. The facts its that when you take one of these antidepressants with phentermine, your antidepressant will no longer work as an antidepressant. The main reason people take the two together is that the antidepressant prolongs the phentermine effects. If you are depressed or having other metnal issues you have a choice, as skinnyminny5 stated. You either need to take the antidepressant and allow it to do its job and not take the phentermine or deal with the mental issues and take phentermine. I probably sound like a broken record to some who have read my other posts, but maybe someone reading this has not read before. The antidepressant taken with phen is a weightloss therapy known as phenpro. CHeck out the website called phenpro.com. You can read about how it works in detail as well as how 5htp works.

5htp is a natural mood enhancer and it will very likely help your mood as well as control your hunger better. I could never take 200 mg though. I was very nauseated when I took 100mg. The phenpro website is hosted by a doctor who has created phenpro and he also has a lot of info about 5htp as well. He recommends a daily dose of 100mg of 5htp and this can be split by taking 50 mg in the morning and 50mg about 3 hours before bedtime. I personally only need the 50mg in the morning. You might need 3 days before you begin to feel the 5htp kicking in. Oh and some people have strange dreams when taking 5htp.
