For me, consistency is important-not to I can say I am great about it
Once you push through that first week or so, it's not bad after that. If I get lazy or extra busy for a few weeks, I have to start all over, which is where I am now. Maybe cut back a little on the intensity until you get used to it? Work your way into something you can live with long term instead of trying to kill it all at once. You might be less likely to burn out on it.

You can try getting plenty of protein. It's what gets broken down in your muscles when you work out-so theoretically if you replenish it there should be less soreness. It's also a great source of fuel for stamina.

Kimber, you are a stronger woman than me. I agree with ya on the stretching, but I prefer yoga. Pilates makes me sore. I have a dvd I do at home, but it KILLS my blown out/baby factory abs with all that core work! I do like that type of exercise, though....something I can do in my living room where there's no one to giggle at my expense. Maybe I need to get a different dvd-the instructor on mine is a drill sergeant.
