I also thought the same thing, that taking less meant less effect. I have found that the effect is great, and the head aches I get aren't too bad. I don't feel hungry at all what so ever, and instead of eating out of boredom I find myself with lots of energy, so I work out or clean or do something other than eat without much thinking.
