This is my second time taking it. Both times I felt the effects right away. The first time, I didn't eat enough. I lost a lot of weight fast. Went from a size 18 to a size 14 in a month. I also had headaches all of the time, which I contribute to not eating enough. This time, I'm tracking my food intake to make sure it doesn't happen.
I would talk to a doc about interactions with other meds. It's funny...my primary told me that Phen would interact with other meds I'm on, but my psych said it wouldn't. She told me to keep an eye on my BP, but besides that I should be fine.
