Is this a good goal?
Is it too high?
too low?

Advice anyone?
I had the same concern as you when I first started taking Phentermine. One thing that I truly believe that has contributed to my success so far is that I had to acknowledge that DIETS DON'T WORK and this is not a diet but a new life.

When I first met with my doctor to discuss what my goal(s) were and the time frame in which I would like to meet them, I discovered that I had unrealistic expectations. My doctor spent a lot of time setting and explaining some realistic mini goals as well as my overall goal.

The funny thing is that no sooner did I accept that she was right, I had well exceeded my first mini goal. Let me tell you that started to mess with my mind. My first mini goal was 10lbs and I almost doubled that! So I went back to my old way of thinking and thought if I doubled my first mini goal then I should be able to cut the time that it should take me to reach my overall goal in half I was soon brought back to reality when I realized that I was not going to continuously lose 20lbs every month. The first month was mostly water weight. So I had to accept that slow and steady truly wins the race.

It has been just over 5 months for me and I have averaged approximately 10lbs per month. I am at 60% of my goal and am pretty much right on track with my doctors time frame to reach my overall goal (December).

I would suggest speaking with your doctor about your expectations and get feed back from him/her if they agree and if they could help you set some of your own mini goals.

Good luck to you and don't be afraid to be great!!!
