Custom got busted on a technicality-
I read an article about it a few weeks ago. Apparently, Kentucky has more stringent stipulations about this kindof thing, and that's where they got themselves in trouble. The charge against them had nothing to do with how the prescription was obtained....it was due to the fact that there wasn't a legitimate phone number on the prescription bottles for the consumer to contact them if necessary. The fda seized nearly $11,000.00 worth of phentermine en route to Kentucky to shut them down based on the non-compliance of the stickers on the bottles. I had been wondering why they got away with it for so much longer than all the rest, but somehow the writing of prescriptions was legally legit-it was WHERE they were obtaining the medication from that caused them problems. Something about being a broker for an overseas pharmacy. That's why it was so cheap too.

That is so weird that you said that about the other number he had and a spanish speaking person answering the phone. Because he DID respond to my email I sent him questioning him aabout all of this and one of those questions was WHY can't I have it sent to a pharmacy of MY choice. Here is a copy of what he wrote to me. and it was headed as I would be very willing to help you. Along with this he wrote......

There are two things I would ask:

Be sure to put your preference for Adipex alone in the “Comments” box which is just above the
“Authorization” button in the credit card section at check out (otherwise we usually start with

Phentermine-the active ingredient in Adipex- and Prozac (makes phentermine work better).

I only use Allen Family Drug in Texas because of their excellent service and my ability to get
Any errors straightened out quickly (Most of the large chain pharmacies don’t even speak English

Anymore, make errors galore, and frankly don’t care).

If distance is a problem simply be organized and complete your patient registration or Progress Note

On-line several days early and Allen Family Drug will mail your medication to you.

If I can help otherwise please let me know.

Best Wishes,

Dr. B

His concern for the spanish speaking at MOST of the pharmacies was the reason for this. I don't think so!!! Most MAJOR pharmacies have both spanish and english here in Texas.

I agree with you on that. I actually got another email this morning explaining his weightloss system which involves Meridia and something else he uses. At the bottom it said to quit receiving emails from him to click the following link, so I did. I just hope other people really check out who they plan on using before actually paying money for something like this. I'm so glad to have found this site and realized just how many places there are that can rip you off. Not to mention all the other GREAT advice and encouragement.

So I'm just counting down the days til my REAL appointment and doing this the right way. I just thought I would put his name out there in case others were thinking of using him. I personally don't advise it. Which I'm sure most here agree.

Great info tgarcia! Hopefully this thread will help someone someday....it's the only hit that comes up in a google search about the absolutely thin clinic or dr branch, so people in the future looking for info will be able to get details about what this guy is really about!
The major chains make big mistakes and don't speak English? I don't think pharmacies make it to the status of being a huge chain by being unreliable or inaccurate. I'm sure it happens, but I've never had it happen to me....
A big majority of the people here speak Spanish as well, and I always thought it was a PLUS for a business to have bilingual employees. Sounds to me like he's just making excuses for his patients to have to use the pharmacy he's in cahoots with

People have safely taken phentermine (before the ban) this way, but I don't know about antidepressants.
There HAVE been studies recently that show that phen in combination with drugs like prozac can be successful for some people. But I really don't feel safe about anyone being on antidepressants without being under dr supervision.
If phen has bad side or intolerable side effects for someone, they can just quit taking it. But while some people do fine on drugs like Prozac, it can cause some nasty problems (like suicidal thoughts!) during AND after use. It doesn't just leave your system once you stop. If you're not weaned off, it can wreak havoc on your brain's normal chemical functioning until it's gone, which can take up to two weeks.
I'm glad you got an appt with a doctor who will help you....it really is the best way to go. Let us know what happens!

Just pulling this great thread to the top again so others will read.

Comment: A doctor cannot phone in a prescription to a pharmacy anymore. Only hand written scripts~

I know for a fact that you do NOT have to use HIS pharmacy in Texas. If you live out of state he will call in the prescription to where ever you prefer, or he will mail YOU the prescription. If you live in the town where he is, you can also use what ever pharmacy you want.

I am just stating what he told me. And he told me that he ONLY used that particular pharmacy. Reason I questioned that to begin with is because I live almost an hour away from the pharmacy he suggested, and asked if he would send it to CVS in my area. And he said no. If you have used him and gotten good results then good for you.

I could not even find an office for this man at the address that was given on his web site. And I do not understand how he can call in a perscription for me NOT KNOWING if it will be safe for me. I had to go through a visit with my doctor and have blood test done to make sure it was safe.

Just didn't add up to me!
