The battle against the ants in my apartment has now begun.
I've set out poison on my windowsill, since they're appearing
from a snamm crack between the wall and the window frame.

Yep. Very important info...

Goodnight all.

I put a line of black pepper in my window to keep them away.

My office has that problem too Ian . . . I found a very office-like solution . . . line (heavily if they're large) the cracks & crevices of your window with scotch tape - they can't break through!

. . . by fall you can remove the tape & the adhesive can be easily cleaned with glass cleaner.

Hope this helps!

Those new Raid Ant Spikes that you put outside around your home also work great.

Oh well, I'd need antigravity ant spikes.

LOL! Tape them to your windows on the outside, that would look really interesting anyway!

if you wash the area where the ants are down with mostly dish soap and alittle wather it will keep the ants away and kills the ones that are there, plus it is non toxic If I get a bunch of ants all at once I use the shopvac to suck them all up, then clean with the soap and they do not come back...
