We are having a huge garden this year full of healthy veggies. Heres what I have on my list so far-tomatoes, radish, lettuce, carrots, peppers-all varieties from sweet to hot, green beans, squash, cukes, onions, you name it and I am gonna try it. I cant wait for all of the good stuff!

That sounds pretty nice, except for the squash. I've never been able to
swallow squash without some sort of gagging drama. I think it's because
when I was a child, my parents steamed it and pretty much soaked it
with butter. That just seemed wrong to me; that a vegatable was creamy.
Pretty gross to me... ew butter squash, squash with butter.

Anyway the other veggies sound almost mouthwatering right now, seriously.
I could down a whole plate of them right now with some water and turkey
or chicken.

Have you tried spaghetti squash? It looks like the real spaghetti noodle. I just picked up some seeds today. I cant wait!

Thankfully I have a huge yard with plenty of space. I dont know how ppl handle having neighbors within whispering distance. Some houses look so close you couldnt get a lawn mower between them.

cyn,

I do hope you are raising all those vegies organically. It sounds great. all that exercise you get working a garden is almost a s good as the food you raise.

I have tried to grow most of that. the carrots were a issue. And you will have enough cucumbers for a third world nation they just keep growing.

I am hoping to have alot of cukes and maybe attempt some pickles--I have never canned before but I am willing to try. I am already pleased with what we have so far-usually anything I try to grow dies.
