I guess I never sleep after all. Ugh tired, but trying to do plenty of
research so I can find a decent used car to replace my rusty old
1988 SAAB 900S. Clutch failure this week just set it off... I have
to replace it. Yawn...

Nah actuall I am going to try to replace it. I just decided to give it to my
cousin who will probably never get a car in the next few years (he's 15)
unless it's mine.

As it turns out, the clutch is most likely fine, but the throwout bearing,
which is part of the system, sounds like it's broken apart.

Guess you gonna have it fixed up and use it 'til you find something new.

Nice idea to give it to your 15 year old cousin - he'll love you for that and remember it for time!
