Some friends were here this weekend and my friend Ruth, knowing how much pain I have been in took care of a ton of stuff around the house for me. She even got my son in on the act. She cleaned my whole diningroom, took out garbage, changed the litter boxes, changed the dogs papers, (I can't always take her out.) sorted papers, helped clean my kitchen and other little tasks that most people never think I might need help with.

Many people have friend but a true friend is someone to treasure. Sounds like Ruth is one for you.

She is a very funny person, I am the only one she will do that kind of stuff for, anyone else could be bleeding to death and she would just ignore them and get a cup of coffee.

We have been friends for many years though, since I was 19 and her kids who are now in their 20's were 5 and 3.

Most people don't even know the value of a friend like that. I have a friend
like that who is in the Marines; Scott.

We do a lot to help each other back and forth, I just didn't expect her to start cleaning the whole house for me.

I am so used to the clutter than when I saw it when she was done, I was amazed.

Is Scott overseas?

Actually he just finished his combat training a few months ago... and now
they have him sitting on a base in the middle of nowhere, and they don't
give him anything to do except use a broom or a mop. He hates it, but
at least he's not in Iraq.

A friend like that is one to cherish forever, and usually the only one you need. You can really tell who your friends are in times of need. They are true friends if they act like Ruth, and just aquantences (sp) if they do nothing to help. I try to help everyone I can because you never know when you will need the same help. It can get aggrivating thought when you put yourself on the line over and over any for everyone and then when you turn comes around and you need help no one is there, but just remember..it is on them...you did the right thing and they didn't and they will have to deal with it in the future when Karma comes around and bits them in the behind..
