Ok my dad had a stroke and is now blind. My father was a typical hard working man-loved to use tools, work on cars, lawnmowers, etc. He also loved to read and watch tv. Before the stroke shopping for him was easy-tools, books, movies, etc. Now I have no idea!! I tried audio books and they dont interest him. I know this should be easy but my mind is blank! HELP!! Oh yea--he never wears ties!

Hmmmm, this is a toughy. What about some kind of game or puzzle that will let him work with his hands without having to see it? It will also help keep his mind sharp.

If you get some of those handheld games, they have sounds so he can hear what he is doing once he learns what the buttons are for and he doesn't have to see it at all.

A friend of ours who is blind loves them.

I am really not sure if he would enjoy them or not-he was never much for games and puzzles but then again it may be totally different now since he cant do other things. Thanks for the idea.

Meowcome, I will keep thinking, too. Maybe we can come up with something else.
