I picked some lettuce last night and had it with dinner.

It is nice when it is finally time to start picking stuff. No tomatoes yet, but there are a lot of flowers on the plants.

I have had lettuce, radishes and green onions so far. Carrots are coming right along and so is the corn. Tomatoes, peppers, and cukes are looking good too. The spaghetti squash didnt make it :( but we are trying again! And my strawberries are very tiny.

I heard it takes the strawberries a few years before they give you anything worthwhile.

I just bought a house a couple a months back and it had a papaya tree in the back. Of course it was near death with no tending to for 2 yrs. But a planted some tree spikes near it. Now it is growing like crazy. Even more so since we have been having all the rain here in tx this month. I also have a pumkin vine growing as well. But no luck with on that one produceing yet. Yet, it is getting longer by the day.

Depends on your taste buds. I don't like them personally.... I am more of a mango person myself. But, it's fun trying to learn how to grow them.

The texture of a papaya kindof makes me uncomfortable. I prefer mangoes
as well.
