I watched it last night. It was the first show of a new season. Honestly, I felt a little sorry for the woman on there this time. She seemed so humble. She had no idea what was about to happen! :(

I thought a couple of the average Joes were goodlooking. I hope that this girl picks one of the Average Joes and not one of the HOT guys.

Anyone else like this show?

I missed it because my niece showed up to visit. But I do plan on watching. The guys are getting makeovers this season right? That should be interesting.

Yes, they are. And the girl that they picked this time does not seem to be as stuck up as the other ones. I think she said "Well, these are not the type of guys that I would normally date, but I am sure we will have fun." I thought that was a very down to earth thing to say.

She never seemed like she thought she was better than anyone else and she seemed truly sorry to have to send any of them home.

I am sure there will probably be a repeat of the first episode on sometime.

cyn, you have mentioned your neice a couple of times now. You sound very close to her. Do you mind if I ask how old she is? Is she your brother/sister's child? Do you have lots of siblings?

I guess I never mentioned about my family on this site--I come from a large family-7 sisters and one brother. The niece that came by last night belongs to my sister. My niece is about 28 and her little girl is 18 months and I babysit her everyday. I spoil her rotten!! I have about 21 nieces and nephews and a few great nieces and nephews--I lose track!! My family is very close. Usually that is a good thing but sometimes it would be nice to have times where nobody knows your business!!

Well, thanks for the info, cyn. I come from the opposite. I am an only child. I missed out on all that sibling stuff.

NBC sued over latest 'Average Joe'
Contestant claims network stole ideas

Thursday, July 28, 2005; Posted: 11:09 a.m. EDT (15:09 GMT)

CLEVELAND, Ohio (AP) -- A former "Average Joe" contestant and two other men are suing NBC for $40 million, contending that the network took their ideas and used them in the latest installment of the show, "Average Joe: The Joes Strike Back."

Alfred LaPonza, a suburban Cleveland construction contractor, who played "Fredo" on a previous installment of the reality series, is suing the network along with Bill Costaras, a cosmetic dentist, and entrepreneur C. Peter Cimoroni.

They say the network used their concepts, story lines and casting suggestions for the show, including the use of cosmetic surgery and dentistry to enhance the appearance of the "Joes," who compete for the affections of a woman.

An NBC spokeswoman declined comment on the lawsuit filed last week in federal court. The finale of "Average Joe: The Joes Strike Back" aired Wednesday night.
