How often do you weigh yourself?
I used to do it almost once a day but then I realised how much worse it made me feel when it didnt change for days and days so I stopped.

I step on the scale 3-4 times through the week and each time, it's under nearly the same circumstances as the previous (I've had exactly the same food choices and amounts, wearing the same amount of clothes, use the same scale, etc). I don't pay a lot of attention to it because the scale is a bad indication of gains or losses. How the clothes are fitting, looking in the mirror, and having body fat checked is much better.

I spent years avoiding the scale and then we I began my weightloss I became obsessed with the scale getting on them all day long--now I only weigh once a month if that--I dont want to be crazy about the numbers so instead I focus on my health and how I am looking and feeling.

I admit that I am obcessed with the scale also. I even tried to hide it for a while but I ended up bringing it out again, because I just could not live without it.

I am sure that over time the scale will start to be less and less important, but everyone needs a way to keep themselves in check and the scale does that for me.

I think its important to know where you are in terms of weight but not to the point to where you wiegh in so often as everyday or even once or twice a week... does that make sense?
