I have lost 35 pounds so far. Sometimes I think I hate my body now more than I did before starting the weight loss.

I think before I just avoided looking at myself and now I am examining every inch wanting to see it shrink!

Has anyone else felt this?

I am now 19 pounds down and I keep looking close to try to see a change. I put on a pair of shorts today that are cut off sweats. They've always been to tight but just wear them for house cleaning and dirty work. They seem to be looser. Not baggy, but more comfortable. When I realized that I stripped them off and went straight to the mirror. Of course all I could see was the same old bulges. Wait, what about this spot? It wasn't that big before, was it? I guess I'm the same way. Before I avoided actually paying attention. See no evil! :smt119 Now when I look, I'm suddenly surprised at all the curves! Only so many curves are acceptable.

That is so true, we are just looking at ourselves more looking for that change. But as they say, a watched pot never boils. Same applies here, it just frustrates us and makes the progress seem slow. Though the bulges may be a little smaller, All we see is that they are still there! I think it would be best to stop the naked body analyzing (though I know it's hard) and just focus on the way your clothes look and feel. That's an easier difference to see.

I agree! I propose a boycott on naked body analyzing!!!! That's what we have men for anyway.

Good point! Of course, if he's smart the results of his evaluation will always be the same "You are the sexiest woman I have ever seen in my life!!" If he's not so smart, it's amazing how a spare bedroom can improve his intelligence.

I think that when you feel overwhelmed with looking at yourself and finding more details about your body take out a picture from when you first started loosing weight and look at all the positive changes that you have made.

Exactly. I felt kind of funny when I first posted my picture here, but there have been a couple of times that I was getting ready to write in my diary about how bad I felt I looked and then I went to that picture again and set my mind straight. Sometimes we have to look back to keep from going back.
