Well the ball has been passed to me.... I know we could make this a wonderful event.

First things first... let's find out WHO is interested in attending.
Then we need to decide on a place.... we know it will be in the United States.... but we should get a list of who plans on going so that we can get a 100% set in stone location. Maybe everyone should make a suggestion. I think we need to look at the locations of everyone that wants to go... and try to find the most central spot. Then we need to find the best time.... alot of us have kids.... some will fly there and will go alone... others may drive there and take the family (what I may do if it's held in Tennessee like we mentioned being a possibility).

Anyways.... let's start by replying here if you wish to attent.....
1) Give your name (can be real first name or screen name)
2) City, State you live in
3) Suggested City, State for the Meet
4) Means of transportation

(If you will fly alone, drive alone, or possibly take the entire family)*
* This way we can take that into consideration when choosing the location... if we have most members that will fly then it doesn't matter necessarily where it is...if they're all flying they're going on a plane anyways. lol... if we have several that live in the southeastern US and want to drive with their husband/wife and children... maybe we can do a location a bit more central to them so they can do that and the other members can still fly.

I laughed after reading Chris' answer. ONLY a true SOUTHERNER says Tennessee is central!
I would come with my husband and could drive anywhere. Flying is so expensive some months...unless it's a Souhwest Airline's city! I am malleable to any city, anytime, anywhere!
(except maybe Hong Kong)

That sounds like a great idea and lots of fun, I wish I could attend also. Maybe I'm being a fuddie duddie, old fart, too cautious but I am wondering....is it a good idea to put in your real names in posts? I'm not sure how secure things are with the internet these days and there are just too many "whackos" out there and I would hate for anything to happen to anyone here.

When I read Chris' response I said wow he's not that far from us. I know most men can "take care of themselves" as my oldest son tells me but I would rather be too cautious than not be.
