Started Phen 10/29/07, the first 10 lbs. seem to come off pretty fast and I was into really drinking my water, watching sodium and sugar, low sodium and sugar per my doctor. It immediately helped w/any chocolate and other cravings too.
I felt better and then...............STUCK....********
12/30/07 still at same weight for the last 2-3 weeks. Total lost was 17-18 lbs., but gained a few pounds back( still taking Phen-how do you gain??) over the last week or so, b/c I have NOT been watching what I eat as much.

Also, yesterday, I had a migraine, which I have not had in years, started as a cluster in my left eye, and was in bed all night! I did have FULL caffeine coffee at 11am yesterday but headache not until 4pm, this would not affect me??( I have tried to stay away from caff. since starting Phen)

I have another friend been on Phen for years, she really never has to watch what she eats! NOT FAIR!!

I spoke w/DR. last week by phone, when he resubmitted my 3 month refill and told him I feel like I am at a plateau, he said he wants me to stay on 30mg.,and see him in Feb.

I feel like I am not having the SAME energy and motivation as when I 1st started and am MAD at myself for feeling down, it has only been 2 months. DUH, am I expecting it to be the miracle drug....NO! The weather here has been a bit DRAB too, not feeling like walking much.

HELP!! Anyone else ever go through this or is going through it.
I can't even get down to 180 yet,YIKES!!

Some real truths here:
Each of us has failed diets before. Many have failed at phentermine. Others just aren't able to comprehend the effects.

Phentermine will tell your brain you aren't starving yet. If you add a little willpower in and do a real DO-OVER by relearning how to properly buy, prepare and consume healthy foods, you will have done yourself and those who love you the biggest gift you will ever be able to give.

CHEERS!
Start now, Soldier. Shoulders BACK, tummy in, chest out, heels touching! HUT, HUT, HUT!

Yes, it does bite!

The thing to remember is this... it is NOT the PHEN that is making you lose weight. You can't just take it and expect the weight to just melt off. Sure, it works that way for some people, but if you read through the journals here you'll quickly see that it's not the norm for most.

A couple of things come to mind in reading your original post...

1. The last 4 or 5 weeks have been hard for all of us because of the holidays.
2. Have you taken your measurments? Are you losing inches instead?
3. It's probably time to up your cardio workouts.

I can't speak for anyone other than myself, but the month of October would have been most depressing if I didn't take my measurements. I only lost 4 little pounds that month... but lost over 11 inches!! Our bodies are extremely complex... I've sat for 3 weeks straight before without losing a single ounce then boom! 4 pounds will fall off in days!!

The key is to be consistent... take your measurements... and realize that even if the evil box is not giving you the numbers you would like to see... at least it's not going up AND if you continue being consistent, it will have NO CHOICE other than to give you a lower number at some point.

Thanks so much for kicking my BUTT back to reality again msmartini!

Great update to your pic too, I got back on track today and I was working, so it made it easier!

I will continue to measure my body, not just the scale and i gotta up the WATER, hard to do everyday!!!

You are right, the Phen is a tool, as I told my DR.when I asked for help.
I have to change ME!

HUGS!!

Hi 40mom,
Thanks for posting in my thread. This is hard and I hear you. I'm pretty similar in my goal weight as you, around 138#'s. I think consistency is the key. And I know that anything anyone sets ther mind to, they will do Stay with it
