Very quickly, about the caffeine:
For both proponents and those against caffeine, we have to do some honor to the medical work done on this particular question because it's healthy not just to mimic others, but to decide for ourselves by weighing the proofs. Agree?

Any agreement to post the information that influenced your understanding of caffeine from ANY nationally or internationally respected medical website INCLUDES ME, so I better get crackalackin~

I do like the the crystal lite energy and it has caffeine in it. I lost with it before. Soda I got use to not having them so I can live without them.

HI Susan and everyone else!

Susan, it's good to see your chipper face and read your enthusiastic posts again! I've missed you and this forum and see lots of new names and not so many old names... I still don't have DSL but hope to get back with the forum on some level, anyway.

So, what's up with the caffeine? There must have been some dialogue but I can't find it. It would take me a month to access your above sources so can you give me the Cliff notes version? Is it good? Is it bad? Is it good with phentermine? Is it bad with phentermine?

I know it's good to be back here!

GIRL!! Were you N,S,E or W when you dropped off the face of the earth?? If you think you can make goal and scoot away without being sorely missed, you are WRONG, Little Missy.

Somebody help on this one:
Both good and bad according to one's age, weight, other medications, time of day, history, sleep patterns and so on.

I have never read anything that supports the so-called fact that it flushes medicines from the body. To the contrary, it is often added to medicines to boost their absorption.

If it were a 'flusher', that fact would have to be advised with all sorts of medicines; right? I want others to weigh in with medically documented info rather than opinion and that's the only reason I gave those sites as suggestions... and of course to give those earning only a B+ on postings to raise their grade!I'M KIDDING!

Thanks, Susan - just checking to see if I'd missed anything big about the caffeine. Because of an ulcer in the past, I can't drink coffee any more but I do take part of a caffeine pill (=1/2 cup coffee) just to wake me up. Also, I learned from this site about the merits of hot green tea, especially how it helps with digestion and metabolism after a heavy meal, so I enjoy that little bit of caffeine, also.

I really have missed the comraderie of this site - it's so warm and fuzzy! I 'm thrilled that the hustle and bustle of the holidays are over so I can get back to some of MY stuff. I'm looking forward to getting to know some of the new members and getting reaquainted with the old.

I can say that when I am not drinking caffeine, I am much calmer; I don't PMS and my emotions are much more stable. As far as weight is concerned, I stopped caffeine once and lost about 8 pounds and looked really good. I drank a lot of water and not much else, though. I like to decaffinate periodically. I have noticed since taking Phen-D that my need for caffeine is not there. I noticed that with Phentermine as well, though.

Hi, Kim. I'm glad you shared that. Phentramin-D does have caffeine as an ingredient.
