Does anyone else's weight fluctuate up to 5 pounds during the day. For example, in the morning you weigh 236 and by late afternoon you weigh 240? I was just wondering. Also, do you prefer digital scales or analog? Does anyone know if digital scales are as accurate as the balance ones at the doctor? I put a 8 lb. weight on my scale and it was exactly 8 lbs. but I didn't know if you weigh more maybe you make the scale less accurate? Sorry about the 50 questions!

THats a very good question, my weight does fluctuate during the day a lot. Thats why its best not to weigh so often. It only discourages you. I also have a digital scale and from what I can tell its pretty acurate.

I'd say my weight fluctuates by 5 lbs throughout the day. I just purchased a scale about a month ago and became OCD with weighing myself. I was driving myself nutz . Thanks to a post by Susan....I've chosen to weigh once or twice a week and use my morning weight.

Oh yes!!

By weighing myself so much I've learned my pattern. I usually weigh about 3 pounds more before bed than I did that morning. I can tell when a loss is coming because the weight difference will be less... then the next morning it's lower than the previous morning!

Learning your pattern is not a bad thing...

That's why i only weigh myself first thing in the moring in the buff once i get outta the shower. With all the food u eat and fluids and whatnot the scales definetly fluctuates.
