I think a number of us has had this problem. You can find other threads that help. I still have the problem but I also have IBS. Having constipation induced by Phentermine adds to my problem.

I finally called my astroenterologist she suggested ground flaxseed mixed with Yoplait (for digestive health) yogurt and Miralax as needed. So far this has worked for me. The Miralax is easy on my system. The first time I took it I followed the package directions. Once things were alright I stopped and adjusted how I took it. (with the IBS & Phentermine I have to take the Miralax as needed.

I had an appointment with her yesterday and told her what I was doing. For my condition she said this was fine.

You are going to have find what works for you. I know this is a miserable feeling and pray that you fine relief soon. Please post what works for you. It may help someone else.

That was a great suggestion! For many, the solution is a group of practices:
1. Drink enough water- at the least, 64 ounces a day-preferably, 100 ounces.
2. Move a little every day.
3. Eat at least 10, one half cup servings, of different vegetables and fruits a day.
4. Eat complex carbs, not simple white-sugar, white-flour, white-rice kinds..
5. Making your own bread is not hard. I add 6 whole grains(barley, whole oats, etc), buckwheat, which is a vegetable, fruit (banana and applesauce), no sugar and no oil, flax seed, sesame seed, almonds, sunflower seeds, the pieces at the bottom of the bag of Kashi-Go-Lean-Crunch and it is heavy and delicious! Not for those who like airy bread.

YES! Let us know!

My son has a constipation problem and he takes Miralax. It has done wonders for him. I will try it soon myself since, I naturally have a problem with constipation.

I also think it is easy on your digestive system and you don't get the bad cramps like with other laxatives. I usually have to take two correctols, which I refuse to do anymore.

I had such a scary and painful experience here recently, that it really freaked me out, so no more of that for me.

Other ppl such as Ms.martini swear by magnesium pills. I've never tried them. Deffinitely try the Miralax it may take a couple of days to start going but well worth it.

Come back and let us know what you end up doing.
