My doc recommends low carb. Its pretty simple to follow as long as I remember to go grocery shopping, but a lil harder if I grab fast food. I try to plan my meals for the day so that if I am having something with higher carbs one meal I will try to do no carbs for the other meals.

Consumer Reports said the healthiest diet for last year was Volumetrics. Loads of lean meats, lowfat dairy, loads of veges and fruits....winds up being like a low cal, low carb way to eat.

For me, the only lasting loss was coupled with learning to record and count calories.

Oh i'm so confused.. c/c is so much work, and low carb i know is an easier way to lose, but not sure if i can live off that.. i love fruit, and dairy.. hmm gotta find a balance somewhere.

Ideas welcomed!

My doctor says count calories - but I also have to log everything i eat/drink (to include the calorie count). I have to log everything - including all the water I drink.

hey there girl remeber i was doing low carb but i had to stop it is not that i was not losing it is just that i was feeling like crap so i am doing calorie counting now i feel great and losing alot so the only thing that sucks about not being on low carb is not being able to eat out i mean i could at least have a steak or something or a burger with no bun lol, now i am salads and maybe subway@ i think it all depends on your personal preference! but girl i was in your shoes a few weeks ago just try them over 2 weeks ,like i did after trying them both i like counting calories,

good luck

I am going to try to eat 1200 calories a day. It seems so low, but I know it's the only way to lose weight. What are your daily calories? Guess I need to start logging foods again?
