My dr. perscribed two blood test for me to take before my next visit but i don't have health insurance so i called around and labcorp said i can get quite a bit discount if i ask for the Labaccess Program when i go in.

I will let you know how much they discounted my blood test.

I was told the TSH test would cost me 104.00 b4 discount
and the FBS test $37.00 b4 discount..

Wow! Good going, Girlfriend! And if you DO have insurance, you can ask, before treatment, if they will accept whatever the insurance company allows as FULL payment.

I think probably 1/2 or more do this if asked. Remember, get the agreement in writing. And sign your name on documents with that stipulation~

Also, went to my one week check up and told her what i paid for 8 pills at walmart 16.58...well nurse told me to go to this other pharmacy and 8 pills came to 7.99!

Went to Labcorp and requested Labaccess Program she didn't know what i was talking about i told her i had no insurance and she said to have a seat..

3 min. later she calls me to the desk and tells me both blood test will come to 70.00 Thats 71.00 less than origanal price

Way to go!! It sure does help to go in already informed. They can bulldoze you so easily when you don't know your options!
