Yeah I ride english style,show jumping ,Eventing,Dressage etc,not for a few years thou.I have ridden on a western style saddle,neck reining etc.I love the comfy saddle and western trained horses are so responsive to leg aids/neck reining is very different to english. :grin: As long as it is a horse with a saddle on it,I love it!Have you ever tried to ride in an australian stock saddle?The huge knee pads just hold you in the saddle and it makes riding effortless.They are heavy,but western saddles are like that too? 8)

My saddle is a nylon/leather mix so it's really light. only about 12 pounds. My husbands is a traditional western. Beautiful but weighs about 30 pounds. Both of my horses respond realy well to both neck and leg. When they feel like responding at all. I've looked at the australian saddles. I've only seen pictures of them. It looks like the seats are awfully small. How's the comfort level?
