Maybe I could get rid of mine. It doesn't work AFTER the
stretch marks have formed, right?

Actually it can help reduce ones you already have. Also, my mom has had some luck with using that scar treatment stuff, Mederma??

If you lose weight at a healthy pace...loose skin will not be that much of problem. A slow pace with weightloss will help the skin elasticity keep pace with the physical changes of the body. I had a family member drop 100+ pounds in a six month period and loose skin was a huge challenge for him.

My weight loss average was 8 lbs a month & I still had hanging skin . . . I think you have to examine the factors
heredity
pregnancies
duration of being over weight
age

. . . & as far as the Retin-A . . . yes it is prescribed for acne but doctors will prescribe it for your stretchmarks too (my dermatologist did) . . . keep in mind that generic Retin-A is over 200 bucks a tube! Name brand is 300+ a tube!

. . . so unless you have a kick-butt prescription plan (I did at the time & only had a 13 dollar co-pay) try the Strivectin SD instead . . . it's not cheap either (130 bucks a bottle) but it's cheaper than the Retin-A.
