weight and size

Ok I have to say I get frustrated when I hear people talk about their size and their weight. Like Kirstie Alley for example said at her highest weighed just over 200 but she looked much heavier to me. And I am crazy when I see these big girls on tv and think they are lying about the size they wear? Like Mia Tyler she is a size 12

I dont mean to be rude but do any of you others understand what I mean? I have a cousin who wears the same size clothes as me and is the same height but she swears she weighs 50 lbs less! I just dont get it.

No, I agree with you. Kirstie Alley is tall and she was really big! There is no way she weighed 200 pounds! I know the camera adds some weight, but not THAT much!!!

When I heard how much Oprah says she weighed...I thought she was lying too.

I agree with you. It is hard to think that they are telling the truth. At the same time, if I was on TV I would lie about my weight too! [smilie=to funny.gi:

No, not at all. It is normal to look at other people and compare their size to yours. I do it all the time. What other way is there to figure out how much you think they weigh?

Stars lie about all kinds of things. Why should their weight be any different?

What really makes me sick is to think about how much we shape our lifestyles around some of these celebrities that lie about stupid things. I mean sure, everyone wants to be thin, fit, beautiful (or handsome), and these celebrities (who most often than not have had one of those qualities in the past) feel the need to lie about things to get more attention. I think a lot of it has to do with publicity because, good or bad, it will get our attention. Look at Jude Law, he put out like 15 movies last year, all of them bombed, he lost what publicity he had, and then he went out and he cheated on his fiance with the nanny. Now his career is ruined, but he sure does have everyone talking about him.

I just wonder whatever happened to being unique. I don't want to lose weight to look like Jennifer Aniston or Angelina Jolie. I just want to be back to a normal weight and not have to be so self-conscious when I walk into a room full of model look-alikes.

I don't think I'd lie about my weight if I were on TV, but I do think I'd use some of the money I earned to help myself to become the same size as the ideal weight that my brain wants to give as an answer.

P.S. I hope this makes sense, I'm almost half-asleep

Did you see the big fight with rosie o donnell/kirsty alley she said she looked much more than what she said too.Yes she is tall,and yes she weighed much more than she said she did. :x But being a celebrity andin the public eye all the time.Like the photo of her butt when she was in a park with her kids.Every thing they do/say look like is on display to the world. :shock: I think shes a beautiful woman,even when she was fat she was still pretty.Anna nicole smith is another one the press persue to get a 'cellulite' photo or lose skin shot after losing weight.She was still pretty when she was fat,her behavior was more questionable thou! :eek:
