I am glad I'm not the only one. I am really enjoying this site. I am currently at 306 (As of Sept.7, my mother has my scale right now). I am restarting Phentermine. It doesn't seem to be working much. I am going to use the pointers given by Ian. I have B12 here, and I just took some, LOL. The soda I'll have to work on, I drink Diet Coke........ALL DAY LONG. Anyone else have this problem?????

I used to do the diet soda thing but I gave it up for New Years and havent had one since. Water is about my only beverage. It may be hard to do at first but the more of it you drink the easier it becomes. Soon you will love it.

One of the main reasons I drink it all day (other than I'm addicted....) is because it helps me be semi-awake. But, now I don't need that due to the phentermine. So, here's hopin! :-D

One of the problems I had with giving up the sodas was the bubbles. I know that sounds weird but sometimes I just really need to drink something bubbly. I recently tried the new 7up +. The mixed berry one I didn't like. Tastes like baby aspirin. But the cherry one is pretty good. It's 25 calories per bottle and has some fruit juice in it, so at least there's a little nutrition involved. No caffeine, but I'm not sure about the sodium. I'll have to check on that the next time I get one. I don't keep any sodas in the house, so that if I get the craving I have to actually go get one. Sometimes the craving passes by the time I'm ready to go.

Zoey, I know what you mean about sometimes just needing something
bubbly. Do you ever get a feeling like it will make it easier to breathe,
or that the bubbles make your throat open up or something?

That's how it was for me, but now that I haven't had one in a long time,
I never get that feeling anymore.

Every once in a while I really do feel that way. It's not as bad anymore, but as I have said repeatedly, I don't want to make myself feel like I'm being punished, so I will still have something everyonce in a while, I just think more about what I choose and how often. It seems to be working for me.

You aren't the first person to tell me that new 7up was horrid. I wonder how long that will stay on the market?

As of now I am going to try to have 1-2 (20 ounces) of diet coke a day, which is way down from the 6 (20 ounces) and 1 (2liter) I use to drink.

Oh, and I've lost 6 pounds, so yay!

Congratulations!!!!! If you are going to continue with the Diet Coke you still need to try to cut the caffeine. If that's why you're drinking it, then maybe try making one regular and one caffeine free. The new Coke Zero is excellent. No caffeine. Also has alot less sodium than the others. Too much sodium is a major problem with drinking sodas. And it tastes good.!!!!
