Ok just me checkin in..... yesterday was my first workout day since the challenge started.... I have a goal to exercise 600 minutes by March 17 and lose 8 pounds by then. I haven't weighed in yet so will update on the 8 pound goal when I do weigh... but I did exercise on the elliptical machine yesterday. I did a whopping 32:36 minutes..... and went 1.33 miles.... and burned 337 calories! That's the MOST I've done in one day since I got it a little over a week ago!! Before yesterday the most I had done was 21 minutes last Thursday. So I'm stoked! Music is definately my motivator. Before I started I decided to go for 8 songs... 1 forward, 1 reverse, like that.... and I did it... then looked at the display (keep my cell phone on it so I can't see the time ticking) and was at 32 minutes so I stopped.... my legs were gettin tired too. lol So I'm proud as heck.. not to mention the most calories I'd burned before yesterday on it was 230.... so up 107 calories from that... teehee

Goals: 600 minutes of exercise - 32 minutes = 568 minutes left
(yall dont be checkin my math... I know how to subtract teehee)
I think I'm gonna add this to my signature line so I can update it there and make it easy.. teehee

OK im up for a challenge. I dont have anything to show me how many calories that ive burned but I really need to get motivated to exercise more . At least 4 days a week me and my son walk 2 miles and it takes us about 24 minutes now . So I need to kick it up a little more .
8 lbs would be great to lose by March 17th that would put me under 170lbs  im looking forward to that.

Kimber 600 minutes of exercise by March 17th sounds good.

Good Luck EveryOne !

Starting Today Feb 20th 600 minutes
Be Back Tomorrow :

I'm new to the site as of yesterday, but I'd like to join the St Patrick's Day challenge as well....

So, stats... went to the Endo yesterday and got very accurate ones:
I'm 5'6" (I'm shrinking! used to be 5'7")
I'm 246.9 lbs
I'm going to do this in 50 lb increments... so my first goal is 197.
For St Patrick's Day, I'd like to lose 8 lbs.

Today is my first day on Phen. I'm not sure how this is going to go so if I'm overestimating or underestimating my goal, I guess I'll readjust as need be.

My other goals, other than pounds, by SPD are:
1. Eat breakfast every day
2. Go to bed by 11 every night.
3. Exercise 4 hours a week or more - this is not a stretch goal for me, but I have a lot of things going on right now with work and life so it's a good one for the next few weeks.

Thanks for letting me join - I hope! Ellen

I'm back again. Dreamy: I invested in a Heart Rate Monitor for the gym and it's the best thing I did for myself in 2005. It is specific to me (has all my data in it - weight, age, etc) and it tells me how many calories I burn at any given time. Example: Monday is my big workout night at the gym - I do 2 classes: one in Strength training and the second is Cardio Kickboxing. I burned 930 calories between those 2 classes. (This btw is one of the reasons the doc put me on Phen - because I do work out a ton and obviously my body still holds on to the weight. It's very frustrating! But hopefully the Phen will change it up a bit.)

So I recommend a monitor - it also keeps you working in the right zone so you're not running too high or too low. Ellen
