 Thischick, what a love you are! Thank you so for much thought put toward me and the physical problems I have. I will read the PDF in a few minutes~
I am just so touched that you went to that much trouble for me. Thank you SO much!

I read New Mobility! I am so excited to go back and find your mother's column!
It is loaded now so I will go read it and comment tomorrow. Work seems to bog me down sometimes and I do too much and then it overwhelms me. I better say I HOPE to comment tomorrow. 8-)

Bye for now,
Thischick AKA Lori

Hi Lori!
You KNOW that I'm gonna respond, if anybody responds!!! LOL! I have nooooo life!
Anyhow, I'm married w/ 2 girls...ages 9 & 4. My sign is Pisces. I don't work outside of the home, I am a SAHM...

Had a good weekend. BUSY weekend. Actually, just Sunday was busy for me. Saturday I just sat around the house all day, cleaned, did laundry, ironing, etc...
Got in 20 minutes of jogging on my mini tramp yesterday & 50 minutes of tennis (in the sweltering HUMIDITY) w/ a friend. WHEW! I was dripping after that! ICK! And can you believe during all the sweating (playing tennis) I only burned 289 calories! That aggravates me! Almost wasn't worth it! But...on the other hand...I LOOOOVE tennis! I play whenever I can!

Hope everybody else is doing ok! Come on everybody! Let's here from ya!

 Just to start talking again~ I am Susan, 53 years old and married to the same guy 32 years in December. We had some years that only a thread held us together, but fortunately, that thread was our commitment to our vows, Christ and our children.

Having children puts quite a new outlook on togetherness because the focus must be their welfare. I remember having thoughts like,"I don't know how I can tolerate this man when the kids are grown and he is retired!" :smt103

Divorce? NEVER! Kill? Maybe... :smt071 ~He had WAY too much testosterone going on and I am very grateful it has lessened. WHEW.

PDT_Love_07 We both hung on, and as the kids finished school we started to find each other again and fall in love all over again. Had it not happened to me, I would never have believed that could happen. :smt017 I tell folks we have been married 32 years and that Jon has given me the best 10 years of my life. PDT_Love_19

Now we are empty nesters, and I love his company, his commitments~ and we have a deep connection. There's quite a bit of strength in having a history together, too, and it serves us well.

I am a semi-retired school teacher ( I am tutoring now.) and Jon works with computers. We are waiting for our kids to find their life mates (they are 27 and 24)and having some grandbabies to adopt. Hey! Did I say adopt? I meant adore!

 I am at 155 pounds and looking to reach  140 before I stop. I am hooked on the friends I have made at Phenforum!
:smt052

Hey ladies,

Glad to hear from our "regulars", you gals are right-on! I'm glad some of you have kids & husbands & lives.

Joy, you are getting it together girl! I haven't been that active since the 80's!

Susan, I understand perfectly what you mean about your marriage & your life. Sometimes you make your choices with your eyes wide-open knowing that somewhere along the way the right guidance will come along to make it all okay, otherwise we'd never live through the decisions we make.

My story is like yours too Joy, I've got 2 daughters 8 years & 7 months. My oldest is from a previous relationship & I had my youngest after marrying my husband a year and a half ago. Our marriage is not a healthy or happy one & now we are separated as per a ruling by child protective services if I want to keep my kids. I would never let anyone come in between my kids & I. So when they gave me the ultimatum, "he goes or we take the kids", I chose my kids. I've been staying out at my mom's in Florida for the last 2 weeks with 2 more to go before I head back home to pick up the pieces of my life. I'm on maternity right now but I don't have job to go back to & my benefits run out in October so I've got alot of reasons to be gaining weight right now so I'm glad to be here. As it is, when I went to my very last pre-natal appointment in December I only weighed 216 pounds & since giving birth I've gone up to 245 pounds out of sheer emotional eating & depression. That's all changing now though, I've got a whole life to live out in front of me. I'm only 33 & a Gemini!! So you know what they say, when life hands you lemons, ya better make some lemonade!

Talk at ya'll later,
I'm typin' with one eye open again!
Love to you all! 8-)

Hello Lori & everyone else...
I am on my up to Wisconsin right now. My brother was killed today. It is a sad day for me...he is on a mountain bike racing team. Somehow today during their race, he had a wreck, & while he was laying on the road, a big vehicle ran over him & injured most of his major organs. He lived about 6 hours. The drs could not stop his bleeding... :(
He was only 31 & leaves behind a wife & 2 stepdaughters.

I don't know when I'll be back ladies! I'll update you when I can.

Sweet4jay, I am so sorry for your loss. I hope that you have a save trip to Wisconsin. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Thischick, we have a lot of things in common. I am also 33. I am on my second marriage. My first one ended pretty badly. I have a 15 year old son with my first husband and he lives with me in Florida.

I did pretty good in the last fews days. I have family visiting so it is hard to stick to my diet, but I can at least avoid the desserts and have smaller portions. My family lives on carbs.

Hope everyone had a good weekend.

To thischick--you are doing what is best for those young'uns and yourself to stay healthy. We have to show them that it is possible to live loving, productive lives no matter WHAT the circumstances.

Dear Joy, what a huge loss you are having to endure. I am so sad to hear of the events of your brother's death this morning. In my deepest beliefs, I think God spared him pain as we know it and took him right on to Heaven after he fell. He certainly already took the suffering for him. God be with you.
