Anybody interested in a weight-loss circle? Not just a buddy

Hey folks,

I'm new here & I'm gonna be perfectly honest. I've never been or had a weight-loss buddy. I don't know that I would make a good weight-loss buddy to someone who was counting on only me to help them through this more than tough journey. Is anyone interested in say a 4 buddy system with me? They say there's strength in numbers right? I wouldn't want to be waiting for 2 days to talk to my buddy in times of crisis if they're out of town or something (and of course the situation works both ways) so if there were more of us in a group we could be there for each other & also back-up support for each other. Does this make sense? I know that the whole purpose of this forum promotes group thinking & camaraderie, but I also want a diet buddy of my very own, or two or three...Is anybody interested? Maybe we could get say four of us together & give ourselves a cool ourselves a cool nickname (like the girls in Grease remember the "Pink Ladies"? anyone?) We could be bold, brash, funny, heartfelt, successful, tearful, clumsy, silly, 17 again, momish, girlish, whatever-we-wantish!

What do you say? Is anybody up for that sort of thing? Maybe we can even talk the powers that be into making it a whole new category on the forum!!!!! They could call the category "4 times the Support" diet groups or some lame thing like that & we could be pioneers like Josie & the Pussycats or something! If there are any men on this site (I don't know yet, you're more than welcome too!)

I'm totally insane but I would love to have a group thang goin' on!!! :eek:

Hey!! I am interested in group support. I think having 3 or 4 people supporting you is better than 1!! I have been on phen. for 2 days now, and have already dropped 6 lbs. I'm extremely happy with that. Let me know!

Thanks for the enthusiastic reply! :eek: Let's do this! Start thinking of some cool names for ourselves & maybe we'll get one more roped into our circle of support & we'll be ready to roll. We can table some votes or something on names & then we're off & running! We could discuss our stats, our goals (if any of us have made any yet, I haven't yet it's only my second day on phentermine!) who we all are, etc, etc, etc.

CONGRATS MOTIVATED ON THE WEIGHT-LOSS, YOU GO GIRL!

I didn't weigh myself before I took my first pill (the scale needs a lithium battery that I can't pick up until Tuesday

) oh well, I guess whatever weight I am on Tuesday will be my starting point. I just hope it's not higher than the figure in my head! :grin:

And Sweet4jay, don't think I've forgotten about you, you've been so nice to me since I got here, & I'm glad you're coming aboard the mother ship!

What do you think the odds are we can get this to be a whole new topic on the forum? How do we ask? Who do we ask? Anybody got any ideas?

I got a quick minute & I thought I'd jump on here & check on ya'll!!!
I am soooooo pumped to get this "personal" support system started!!! I just CAN'T WAIT!!! My goal is to lose 2 pounds/week for the next 4 weeks. Then I'll be at my goal. With my company here, I'm finding it a little tough to eat right. I'm still taking my Phentermine, but they CONSTANTLY want to go out to eat, & I'd rather just eat at home where you can eat HEALTHY!!! Oh well...they are leaving early Wed. morning, so just one more day of this....aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Get back w/ me girls! Tell me what your first names are...that'd be a big help... :grin:

It's funny, I'm more nervous to give out my first name on the internet than I am to give out my weight! I have this idea somewhere in the back of my head I think that if I give my first name out (by the way, it's Lori) that everyone will be able to point and say "Oh look, it's fat Lori from the internet" or something. I know that doesn't really happen, but everybody's gotta have a phobia and that one is mine.

So there you have it, I'm fat Lori from the land of the internet & since I'm new here & don't know your first name, what the heck is yours? Is it Mildred? Delores? Brigitta from the wrong side of the internet? Oh Nelly, I must be tired. Shoot, your name's not Nelly is it? I hope not, 'cause I don't want to offend ya.

Have a good time with your company & if ya'll are thinking up names for us, go ahead and post them. We should have something visual to get a feel for before we put our top choices to a vote. So any old time inspiration strikes, come back to this thread & post a name. Write about what interests you and maybe afer a few days a fitting name will just come to us. :? After your company is gone, we can set up a day to take some votes.

Don't think I've forgotten about you motivated, I know you are still lurking out there somewhere. Post your ideas for names, I'd love to talk to you again.
