Anyone still need a diet buddy? I have about 40 lbs to lose, hopefully by next August.

Sounds good. Right now I am trying to eat between 1200 to 1800 calories a day. The weekends are a different story, but I'm still eating a lot less then before. Breakfast is usually an egg and an ounce of cheese or a bowl of mini wheats. My snacks lately consist of either a piece of fruit or small can of tuna with rye crisp crackers. Lunch is a lean cuisine (220 - 270 calories) and dinner for me is a kind of veggie, brown rice and either chicken, fish or lean prok chop. My water intake has dropped lately but I'm working back up to eight glasses again. I also go to the gym about four days a week to do the treadmill or elliptical and some weights. I also join the step class when its offered. I have just started this gym so I hope I can keep motivated. On mondays I do pilates to mix things up a bit. Whew... thats was a lot about me. So what about you? What do you eat or do for excercise?

Try to keep it on the 1200 end, thats what I did. Well, 1200 or less. Are you taking the phen? It made all the difference for me with the cal consumption. It sounds like you are doing everything right! Great job witht he exercise, you have a motivation I am lacking in!!! However, I am doing bellydancing classes now, I think its important to do somethng you LIKE if u r gonna stick with it. Have you started a weight loss journal? Its great! Write down all the cals you eat so its in writing and accountable and measure yourself in inches... another assessment tool is always helpful, especially if you get stuck in a rut!!! Sendin great thoughts your way!!! Sarah

Hi all,
Okay, I am going to make another step in the right direction......I made a post on Saturday needing some support and got a couple of replies......thanks ladies! I was reading this post as it is similar to mine.
I was wondering if anyone out there is not currently taking phentermine and still needs a buddy to hang in there and keep it off? I am going to purchase some more phen on Friday, but I know I can not stay on it forever, so I have to come up with a system to help me maintain by weight. I am looking for somebody to share their exercise tips and food intake tips. Does that make sense?

Hi Dena,
I'd like to join your buddy list as well. I am currently taking a break from Phen after not having very much success with it. I still have about a month and 1/2 supply left so I may take it again eventually but right now, I'm going without. After all, I lost most of my weight in 2003 with the use of no meds, so why not now? Anyway, if you'd like to chat, feel free to send me a message. Good Luck to you!

I'm going away for about six days for work and am a little worried about finding the right food at the random restaurants we will eat at while we're away. I will also be unable to get much excercise if any at the hotel and/or the town we are staying at. I will probably get some healthy snacks for the long days and bring my runners along in case I feel the need to go for a short run. Anyone have any other suggestions?

My only suggestion is to opt for as many salads while away and maybe take some "safe" snacks with you to fight off any hunger. Be sure to drink plenty of water while away also. The hardest part when eating health is trying to eat healthy away from home. I'm sure you will make good decisions and come back just fine. Have a nice trip!
