I just read this whole thread and wanted to tell ya'll that hubby and I were out last night for dinner. Each of us ordered a glass of wine. After 3 sips I felt mine, which for some reason, I didn't enjoy the feeling of. I guess I'm thinking of all the work writing up a thorough report after arriving home! NEED that clear head!!

Cass, are you feeling better? A couple weeks ago you were unable to find any real help for the migraines..have they found out anything yet?
I REALLY slipped badly on vacation but I got back into eating healthy Friday and feel much better. I am afarid to weigh, so I will wait til NEXT Monday!

PS I've got to tell you that the only time I enjoyed the banana pudding, confectioner's sugar-covered doughnuts and 5 pieces of crispy fried chicken from KFC was the time it took to eat them. I almost O.D.'d on fried chicken. Was one hour worth several pounds? I'm thinking.....I'm thinking...

Come on, Susan - it was your vacation! That's why we learn all these habits - so when holidays get happy, we know what to do afterwards.

I heard someone say once that the difference between people who lose weight and keep it off and the folks who lose and gain it back is:

The ones who keep it off, wake up the morning after the binge or vacation or whatever and get back in the saddle and return to their regimen. The ones who gain it back feel ashamed or angry with themselves or scared, but they don't stand up straight, walk into the kitchen the next morning, have a healthy breakfast and move forward again.
