Hi I'm Lori,

I am 5'3" and weigh 180. Only 6 pounds less than when I delivered my first child. that was my heaviest. So with my doctors ok I started phentermine 37.5 on sept 19th 2007. I am bipolar and we believe my pills are keeping weight on me and not allowing me to loose.

so after a week on the pills I was up a pound. I started at 179. But hey Life goes on. I had to take a hard look at what I was really eating and writing down. Still working on increasing the workouts.

I'm looking for someone who needs the extra encouragement and will help hold me accountable. We can talk food and exercise or just plain everyday stuff.

I have lots of energy on these pills now so I'm very talkative.

Hello,

I too started on 9/19, but i started taking 15mgs per day. At my first weigh in and bp check i had lost 6 lbs. I am looking for someone to share ideas with as well as get ideas. I have been trying so hard to lose weight and have hit some emotional hurdles on my journey which have rebounded me back to my current weight. I think it would be nice to know what another person is experiencing and whether or not I am not alone in my experiences. I weighed myself today and found I have gained 2 lbs since wednesday which is very discouraging.

wow congrats 6 pounds that is great!!! I was taking the 37.5 but I have had to cut them in half and take one in the morning and one at night. I was way too agitated and easy to angry on the whole dose at once.

I lost three pounds my first week. Not bad since I really haven't changed that much in my lifestyle as of yet. I also am looking forward to getting help and exchanging ideas.

Thank you for responding.

don't worry about regaining small amounts I weighed on saturday after starting the pills and was up a pound. Of course at the time I thought I had been on them a week. I think when you see a dramatic drop in a week it is normal to go up alittle bit.

Have you started a weight loss journal? those are great so many people write words of encouragement and you can see how well others are doing that have been on it longer. It gives me great insiration.

I'm an emotional eater too and was horrible this weekend. I also eat when bored. So my willpower isn't that great. Luckily I have two young girls and five dogs to help keep me busy.

I have started a journal! I haven't quite kicked things into gear when it comes to the gym, but I'm hoping that once I start going on a more regular basis that I will start to see some significant changes in my body. the side effect I have been experiencing is sleeplessness. I lay in bed wide awake till the wee hours of the morning. 3 lbs is great, and factoring that you haven't changed much of your lifestyle yet it seems that once you do things will really get going! I can understand the emotional eating and the eating when you are bored. I have gotten over that aspect, but sometimes its tempting. I have to reminding myself that I have 10 months to look good in my wedding dress.... A friend had once given me a meal plan that had been formulated by a nutritionist/trainer, and it worked well. When I am able to get that plan again I can pass it along

10 months til your wedding, how exciting!!! You have major motivation. I had the sleeplessness to but it went away after I cut the dose in half and now take it twice a day. I also took tylenol pm for a couple days. Now I can sleep again like a baby.

Since I live in Arizona it is finally getting cool enough to go bike riding or walking I have to build up to jogging or running. I have one of those fitness balls,( the big blow up ones) that I love to do crunches and core exercises on. When I can get it away from my kids that is.

I may up my dose again cuz my hunger control isn't as good on the half dose. I'll see how crabby I get. Right now no matter what I eat I am trying to leave some on my plate. My form of portion control.

Wow that is amazing! I haven't even thought to measure my waist. We are about the same starting waist size I think, I'll have to measure now when I get home.

I haven't really noticed a physical difference except for the fact that my fat seems softer. It used to be pretty firm kinda like a man's beer gut. Sounded like a hollow drum or ripe watermelon when you tapped on it. Now is seems mushy. My shorts that I always wear seem tighter though. so I don't get that.

You have had great success what changes have you made so far with your lifestyle?
