Hey, yeah, I plan to be on here pretty frequently. I think the more I am here the more motivated I am. So, we can encourage and motivate each other!
The weight that I have lost so far has just been from taking
Phentermine for about six months. It worked really good when I first started taking it, but now it seems it doesn't work as well.
As far as my goal, I would love to get into the 100's. It has been so long for me too, I think since high school. For a while I didn't weigh myself, and when I weighed and I was over 300


, I got really motivated to lose, until recently. I think it's just because I've kinda hit a plateau. I stay between 260 and 270, up and down, up and down.

My doctor gave me some guidelines to follow, and they work (just as long as I stick to it, lol).
1. Eat what you want for breakfast, but make sure you eat something. (I still try to stay pretty healthy for breakfast) What I normally eat for breakfast is a packet of oatmeal and a piece of toast (Sara Lee sugar free bread), or a boiled egg, two pieces of turkey bacon, and a piece of toast. I have read that the higher amount of protein you have in your breakfast the longer you stay full, so I really prefer to do the boiled egg and bacon.
2. Starting at 11:00 a.m eat only grilled or baked chicken or fish and fresh fruits and vegetables.
3. DO NOT eat anything after 6:00 p.m.
4. Make sure you are eating at least every 3 to 4 hours.
5. Drink plenty of
water.
6. And the most important thing (which I always leave out)...exercise 30 minutes a day.
These are difficult to follow, but when I followed these guidelines it really paid off. There was one week that I followed this (and didn't cheat, lol), and I lost five pounds!

I usually don't go to bed until about 11:00 p.m., so I adjusted the times. I try not to eat anything after about 7:30.

Hey, I guess we're neighbors!! I live in the Dallas area, but still pretty close. So it the weather unbearable there too?? It has been sooooo hot here.

I don't even want to go outside! UGH! It just drains the energy out of me. It really stinks when it comes to trying to exercise outside.

Luckily, the last day or so has been okay since we got a little rain from the hurricane.
I probably won't be on here tomorrow. My aunt is having triple bypass, so I will at the hospital all day tomorrow.
Well, I guess that's enough rambling. OMG, I didn't realize how long this was, lol.
