The desire to quit smoking often needs more of a reason. People who smokes and try to quit are usually people who are quitting for a reason besides being healthier. For example... His/her family or money problems and so on. If u can give someone a reason or something, that'll help them stop smoking.

I smoked for almost 30 years. There were a lot of reasons I wanted to quit, my four young children at the top of that list. I think I tried everything, but I just couldn't do. I finally talked to my doctor and he suggested I try Chantix. It worked! I have now been smoke free for a year and a half and feeling great. I still crave one every now and then, but it is usually just a fleeting thought. I did gain some weight, but nothing that can't be changed. Quitting smoking isn't just conquering the addiction, it is also making life changes. Most of the time, when you light a cigarette, it is just as much habit as it is addiction. Good luck, but remember, unless that person really wants to quit, nothing will work. Even though the Chantix gave me the help I needed, I had to still WANT to quit. That is the biggest key.
