I think I can figure out something that combines sensible wating and exercise for the rest of my life. But it will have to be my own personal plan. I did think any of the "fad diets" are anything that I could follow for the rest of my life either.

I agree--I kinda have to do my own thing. Low carb, Low fat, Low calorie, food combining, raw food only--none of it works for me cause I cant stick to it--using common sense works well--eat sensible and move my big butt more!

I'm actually thinking about trying the WW Core program when/if my phen finally arrives. No counting of points...a list of approved foods that you can eat as much of as you like. Much more like low/smart carb than the usual WW. On top of eating as much as you like of approved foods, you get an extra 35 pts a week to play with in case you're just dying for something not on the list (or if you just can live without a piece of toast a day or you go out for dinner and really want that sinful dessert).

Sounds much more doable for the long-term than counting points forever...I did that for almost a year and it got old Old OLD. So looking forward to Core. I'll let you know how it goes once I start, if anyone's interested. 8-)
