Do you have any ideas about what could be slowing your weight loss down?

What's been going on lately?

hmmm...could be the snack cakes I have allowed myself lately--or the fact that I stopped working out everyday--lets just face it I have been lazy and slipped back into some old habits but nothing I cant give up again!!! I just gotta stay focused and check in here more often and keep trying!!

Ah yes, snack cakes. Which kind? I used to like them, but they always
gave me heartburn, and I can't stand the idea of all those carbs anymore,
plus the manufacturing conditions might be poor. The chocolate doesn't
seem real, and there's NEVER enough creme filling.

Good point about getting back in the swing of things. Exactly: It's nothing
you can't do again. You've been there, done that, and you know you can do it.

Is work becoming more stressful?

Nah work is ok but both my parents are in poor health and I have been running myself ragged taking care of things for them and my nephews newborn just had heart surgery--I just have to remember to deal with stress without a little debbie cake in my hand!!

I'm sorry to hear about your parents and your nephew's baby. :(
I hope that they recover soon, and I'm glad your keeping as positive
as you are. Hang in there.

Thanks Ian. The baby is coming home today  He is doing well. As for my parents I guess it is to be expected--they are both in their 70's and with age comes health problems-especially since they have both smoked most of their lives--but I dont think anyone is ready for their parent to get old and lose their health whether they know its coming or not. One bit of good news is my Dad quit smoking in Jan. after his heart surgery--bad news he has gained 25lbs  !! Hopefully if they keep on their meds and actually listen to the doctor they will have many years left.

I can certainly relate to you in terms of a father who is a heavy smoker.
My dad is never going to quit, and he's 65 and on an oxygen tank.
Last time (a few weeks ago) I mentioned that he should quit, he said this:

"but how else can I prove to people that I'm a rebel?"

That is such B.S. lol!
