I just ordered the South Beach Diet book from Amazon. I'm sure
I can find a ton of useful tips in there, and some ways to improve
my diet and lifestle further.

I'll keep you posted.

I thought I might read it as well. I am thinking of rejoining my book club so I can get it for just $.99 plus shipping. I think I am a diet book collector! I figure I may not follow the exact plan but I usually get a little something from everything I read.

I have the book (hardcover and on CD) and I also have the Recipe book. I would recommend both.

I collect recipe books and have several of these, just because DH is diabetic and some regular books don't take fats and sugars into account at all. They are excellent with great recipe ideas.

zippysgoddess,
I love recipe books too. I have actually been thinking that some diabetic cookbooks would be a good buy for me since I am trying to stay away from sugars. Can you recommend any?

Hmmmm, it is hard for me to think of any because I usually just convert the recipes myself when it comes to the sugars, so I can make whatever I want and DH can still enjoy it.

Here's one that I enjoy:

Thanks for the recommendations. I love cookbooks. They are all over my apartment, but I hardly ever use them.

You know I am a real good cook and I don't own a single cook book. But, my mom join up in one of those "programs" and got a lot of good results and recipes. So if I need something new and depending what phase I am in I will give good ole mom a call.
