I think most of us have to continually watch ourselves, even when we've reached our goal weight, simply because it's so easy to slip up. Old habits can come back, and it takes a lot of willpower to fight them away again. There are very few people who are naturally slim and don't have to worry about their weight (most of them teenage boys, I've noticed)--the rest of us have to monitor ourselves, watch what we eat, and try to maintain a healthy lifestyle in order to stay at a weight we are happy with. This is hard, but I definitely feel it's worth it. I'd rather keep an eye on myself and be happy because I'm at a weight I want to be than unhappy because I decided I was sick of watching my weight all the time.
