where you dont have to be thinking about your diet every time you are around food? Will it become natural to avoid the no no's and not over induldge? Or do we constantly have to watch out for the rest of our lives?

I think it really depends on the person Cyn, I know some people with diet restrictions who adjust very easily and aren't even tempted by the taboos anymore, then others like my DH never get used to it and always have to read labels and watch.

It would be so nice to just be one of those people who can pop something in their mouth without a second thought. I think for me to ever get and then stay at a healthy weight I am always going to have to watch myself.

My mother, at least when I knew her, was the same way, she had to watch everything she ate or she would put weight back on immediately.

I think if I can get over the emotional eating then I won't have to think about it so much. Food will be for fuel on most days and for enjoyment on special occassions.

I do not eat because of emotions, usually, I will eat when I am bored though with nothing to do. I just brought a ton of Bubbilicious in the house in the hopes that the chewing will negate the need to eat sometimes.

Is it sugar free? I like to have sugar-free gum as a way to trick myself into thinking I am having a snack too. At least you get the taste of something in your mouth.
