Just so everyone knows, these South Beach meal bars you might see
in your local grocery store actually have no relation to the South Beach Diet.
It's just a marketing ploy, I guess. They are not necessarily the correct
nutrition for those of us who follow the South Beach Diet.

If I remember correctly, the bars do not say "South Beach Diet" but they
just have a logo with "South Beach." I'm just clarifying because I've also
seen some bars that were endorsed by the South Beach Diet. I don't want
to cause any extra confusion.

Ian is right! I think the South Beach Diet does have some bars out now from Kraft. But there is also another bar that is packaged to say something similar like South Beach. Be careful what you buy.

I saw the South Beach Diet Bars at the store yesterday and they were 1.99 a peice!!! HOLY MOLY!

And the had like 14 grams of sugar alcohol!

I will stick to having a peice of fruit instead!

Your telling me!!!! $1.99 not that bad but the sugar alcohol. OMG!!! They are everywhere..... I couldn't find a bar anywhere that was just low carb. I spent hrs on the net, in walmart and in GNC looking for something. I ended up with a atkins bar with high fiber (still not to happy about it though). I did find some ISOPURE drink that have 250 cals 0 fat 0 carbs and 40 protein.

I love the SBD bars made by Kraft!

Of course, these are only to be eaten occasionally. Real foods are the best, but these are good for the times when you can't eat the right foods.
