Gingersnaps, fig bars, graham crackers, vanilla wafers, and animal crackers have a lower fat content than most cookies.

Bouillon or broth makes a savory snack. Check labels to ensure a low fat and salt content.

Avoid most microwave popcorns as well as bagged pre-popped popcorn. They often have added hydrogenated vegetable oil, which boosts their fat content.

Choose air-popped popcorn instead. To help herbs or salt stick to the kernels, spray sparingly with nonstick vegetable oil spray.

Breadsticks can provide maximum crunch with minimum fat (check the label to be sure).

Make a southwestern dip for breadsticks, low-fat chips, or raw vegetables by pureeing cooked kidney beans. Add lime juice and chili powder.

Bananas satisfy a sweet tooth yet provide few calories (about 100 per medium banana) and little fat. They also give you lots of potassium and vitamin C.

Oranges, too, have high vitamin C, along with few calories and no fat. Their aroma and texture are highly satisfying.

Frozen grapes make another great fruit treat.

Keep washed, cut-up raw vegetables in the refrigerator at home and at work. Choose from broccoli and cauliflower florets; zucchini and cucumber slices; green pepper rings; carrot and celery sticks; and cherry tomatoes.

Great ideas! I just need to quit getting lazy and make myself heal;thy snacks to last thru the week.

I always find that I have to clean and cut up all the veggies right when I get home from the grocery store. I also put things into snack size bags so I can just grab them when I am on the go. Otherwise I get somewhere and I am hungry and I eat stuff that has lots of fat and calories.
