Protien does help you to lose weight. Your body burns more while breaking it down. Depending on your goals, you body should have a certian amount of protein. I like 40% of my diet to be protein...but that might be to high for you..

Simply put, whey protein is the best protein that money can buy. It has the highest levels of Branched Chain Amino Acids which are required for muscle growth and account for 35% of muscle. Whey protein is also very easily digested. Not only will it help build muscle, but it reduces body fat as well. Not to mention that whey protein helps reduce the levels of the stress hormone cortisol which can lead to various ailments and the hoarding of body fat. Some of the amino acids found in a good whey protein mix even help boost one's immune system. So, whey protein is probably the best supplement out there.

Just to clarify, will whey protein pack on muscles? I want to eat the right proteins but I want to lose weight and not get bulky w/muscles. I work out daily so I kind of want to avoid that. Would you suggest women who want to get a slim & more feminine figure to consume whey protein?

Hey sweety( i hope my wife doesn't read this...haha)

There is not a better source of protein in the world than whey protein. It has been proven that whey protein builds muscle, improves athletic performance, sharpens the mind, boosts the immune system, enhances one's circulation, and has anti-aging effects. This makes it almost like a one-stop shop for supplementation. HOWEVER, keep in mind that due to the lack of circulating testosterone, women cannot become "bulky" without the help of growth hormone or anabolic steroids. Period! So, by eating more protein, you are only helping to build muscle which will boost your metabolism so that you lose weight faster! PHEW!!! So, go buy some.
