The Biggest Loser thing is going well. I had a lot of fun the other day. We did weigh ins, measurements, got a work out buddy (I got two because apparently I'm very approachable when I have blue hair?) We did a three legged race, and individual race, in which my team won. It was great.

We have a few meetings each week where they talk to us about different things such as weight loss and management, eating more balanced meals, exercising, etc. etc. We weigh in once a week (I chose to do it on Fridays), and we have weekly fun challenges such as scavenger hunts, a Rope's Course, and dance classes. The best thing about this program is that I'm not ashamed to work out in front of everyone because they know what its like to be overweight and I know that they won't judge me for it.

I've decided to remain on the Phentermine while doing the program. I'm not going to tell the coordinators though - in case they're against the assistance of medications to help in the weightloss process.

I weighed in at 217.5 (Meaning I only managed to lose and keep off 12 of the 19 lbs I lost in December with the phentermine) That's not SO bad, but I probably could have done a lot better had I taken them consistently for the month of January.

My goal is to weigh an even 185 at the end of the 3 month challenge. That's a total of 32.5 lbs that I need to lose over the 12 week period (2.5 lbs a week). This is completely do-able, and completely healthy.

I hope to eat better balanced meals, jog a mile four times a week - with jogging two miles without stopping as my final 12 week challenge. That will put me at 50 total miles jogged. I also plan to go to the gym at least three times a week, for at least half an hour.

Spiel, your excitement about this program is contagious! Seems I find myself checking in after you post just to see what happened, how you like it, etc.
GIRLFRIEND! You have done very well by all accounts to have lost what you have lost during the most fattening time of the year. Most of us plumped up quite a few pounds.
I was looking at your goal in the program and think with the phentermine and the healthy habits suggested by The Biggest Loser, you are going to exceed your goal. We are ALL so proud of YOU!!

OMG~
that sounds so fun! Do you really meet a couple of times a week? that's great!

you should be very, VERY proud that you are down 12lbs. So what about 7 measley(sp?) pounds back on. You are probably going to start losing rapidly if your consistant with the phen, diet and exercise, especially if you are jogging a lot.

You have got to keep us posted. I would love to be involved in a program like yours! I'm just curious and you might have already said this but what does this program cost?

P.S. I love the blue hair...it's so cool! I could never pull it off (especially now that I am OVER 35!!)

Jess

We paid $75. I think it was a bit pricey since we don't really get any cool freebies, and we already have memberships to our gym. But I plan on making the most of my investment towards a better me.

P.S. Anyone would look awesome with blue hair! Its just such a great color.

I feel weird replying to my own thread, but I'm not sure what other way I should do it.

I'm down to 215 as of this morning. I ran a mile on Saturday and I'm going to the gym tomorrow, and running a mile at night before I get ready for bed.

When I say "running a mile", I mean jogging relatively slowly and stopping after each lap to drink some water and catch my breath. My end of 12 weeks goal is to be able to do 2 miles without stopping. I better get a move on!

P.S. I'm not gonna change the weight tracker until I weigh in on Friday at the official BL weigh ins.
