The Biggest Loser thing is going well. I had a lot of fun the other day. We did weigh ins, measurements, got a work out buddy (I got two because apparently I'm very approachable when I have blue hair?) We did a three legged race, and individual race, in which my team won. It was great.
We have a few meetings each week where they talk to us about different things such as
weight loss and management, eating more balanced meals, exercising, etc. etc. We weigh in once a week (I chose to do it on Fridays), and we have weekly fun challenges such as scavenger hunts, a Rope's Course, and dance classes. The best thing about this
program is that I'm not ashamed to work out in front of everyone because they know what its like to be overweight and I know that they won't judge me for it.
I've decided to remain on the
Phentermine while doing the program. I'm not going to tell the coordinators though - in case they're against the assistance of medications to help in the
weightloss process.
I weighed in at 217.5 (Meaning I only managed to lose and keep off 12 of the 19 lbs I lost in December with the phentermine) That's not SO bad, but I probably could have done a lot better had I taken them consistently for the month of January.
My goal is to weigh an even 185 at the end of the 3 month challenge. That's a total of 32.5 lbs that I need to lose over the 12 week period (2.5 lbs a week). This is completely do-able, and completely healthy.
I hope to eat better balanced meals, jog a mile four times a week - with jogging two miles without stopping as my final 12 week challenge. That will put me at 50 total miles jogged. I also plan to go to the gym at least three times a week, for at least half an hour.
